Product Overview
This brush is best suited for normal to thick hair of long to extra-long length. It has 8 rings of tufts of carefully selected pure boar bristle, each of which contains a nylon strand. The durable nylon strands, with specially rounded ends, are longer than the boar bristles and penetrate through the hair to massage and stimulate the scalp, bringing out the natural oils. The tufts are set in a pneumatic rubber cushion that regulates the penetration of each tuft to gently, but effectively, condition the hair and scalp. To keep your brush in tip-top shape a cleaner brush is included, as well as complete use and care instructions.
Regular Brushing plays an important part in the conditon of your hair. The Mason Pearson Hairbrush cleanse the hair, stimulates the scalp increasing the blood flow to the roots. A natural conditioning oil - sebum - comes from a gland at the base of every hair; brushing spreads it along the length of the hair giving it strength, suppleness and producing a healthy sheen.

COMPANY OVERVIEW: In the 1860's, founder-engineer-inventor Mason Pearson created handmade brushes at the British Steam Brush Works in London's East End, in a partnership later known as Raper, Pearson, and Gill. In 1885, Mason won a silver medal at the International Interventions Exhibition in London for inventing an automated brush-making machine that revolutionized how quality hair brushes are made. That same year he also invented the "pneumatic" rubber-cushion hairbrush. Mason Pearson uses only the finest first-cut boar bristles. The bristles are then graded to select bristles of just the right stiffness and length to accommodate each combination of hair thickness and length. Today, Mason Pearson quality brushes follow the same, old world methods to create a line of brushes of unsurpassed quality.
